I call myself a tradesman of residential real estate. I work on my own old houses, so I pay attention to how a house was put together.
I've lived in Greensboro since 2010. I got my license in 2018 while I was teaching special education, and opened the firm in 2023. I've been an Airbnb Superhost for 10 years.
Every sale, rental, and listing helps fund Watsucker Urban Farm, the apprenticeship Eric and I built for Occupational Course of Study (OCS) students in Guilford County.

How do I find out what my home might sell for?
Ask for a Free NC Home Review. Joy looks at your home and recent nearby sales and gives you her opinion on price. You set the listing price.
What should a buyer do first?
Fill out the Home Buyer Questionnaire, then talk with Joy by phone. You will review the NC Working With Real Estate Agents disclosure together.
Who pays a buyer's agent in North Carolina?
Buyer agency compensation is negotiable and not set by law. It is agreed to in writing, and Joy goes over it with you before you commit to anything.
Can Joy help with condo and HOA homes?
Yes. Joy served 10 years on a self-managed condo board in Greensboro, 3 as president. See the Condo Document Library and Featured Communities.
How do I book a furnished rental?
Furnished stays book through Airbnb. Idlewood House, College Hill Brownstone, and King Edward House are 12-month leases through Joy.
