Two private rooms upstairs in our own home
Your Mom's Place combines two private upstairs bedrooms, named for both of our mothers, into one bookable 2-bedroom suite. Each room has a queen bed, a dedicated desk, an in-room fridge and microwave, and a closet. The rooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom between them only, not with the rest of the home.
This is a homestay: you'll have your own private rooms plus access to shared common spaces in our home, located less than a mile from Cone Hospital and downtown Greensboro in the Idlewood neighborhood.
What's here
Every stay is turned over with low-odor, fragrance-free cleaning products, never synthetic air fresheners or heavily scented sprays. Here's why that matters for guests with fragrance sensitivities or migraines.
Good to know before you book
Government ID required
Because Your Mom's Place is private rooms inside our own home, every guest must provide a government-issued photo ID before check-in, and the name on the ID must match the name on the booking profile. This is non-negotiable and exists for the safety and security of our home. We've had guests arrive who did not match the booking profile, so we now verify every stay.
Airbnb guest profiles must also include a clear photo showing the guest's face.
Check-in & checkout
Self check-in via keypad, any time between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Checkout is before 10:00 AM. Up to 2 hours of early check-in or late checkout is available for a $50 fee (each), subject to calendar availability, requested through Airbnb messaging in advance and never guaranteed.
Quiet hours
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM.
Pets
Your Mom's Place welcomes up to 1 well-behaved pet per booking at a flat, non-negotiable rate of $25 per night. All pets must be listed at the time of booking. Guests traveling with a cat must contact us before booking to disclose in writing how they'll contain litter spread and prevent clawing or spraying damage. Traveling with an ESA or service animal? Read our ESA and Service Animal policy before booking. Approved ESAs are exempt from the pet fee but not from cleaning or damage charges.
Help us take care of this home
This is a well-maintained home and we want to keep it that way. If anything breaks, runs low, or needs attention during your stay, please tell us right away rather than leaving it for the next guest to discover. We work with a trusted roster of local, non-corporate preferred vendors for repairs and upkeep, and quick reporting helps us keep response times fast.

Yes. Your Mom's Place combines what were formerly two separately listed rooms, Gramma Dottie's Garden Retreat and Mawmaw Uschi's Retreat, into one bookable 2-bedroom suite. Both individual room listings are now unlisted; please book the current combined listing linked above.
How many pets can I bring?
Up to 1 well-behaved pet, $25/night flat fee. See the Pets section above for cat disclosure and ESA details.
Do I need to bring ID?
Yes, a government-issued photo ID matching your booking name is required before check-in. This is non-negotiable.
What are the check-in and checkout times?
Self check-in between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM; checkout before 10:00 AM. Early/late access is $50 for up to 2 hours, subject to availability.

Alongside our rentals, we run Watsucker Urban Farm, where students from the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) program learn job and life skills during the school year, and a former OCS student now works with us doing maintenance and landscaping.
