My Sister's House
1007 Grayland St, Greensboro, NC 27408 · ★5.0 (60 reviews) · Superhost, 10 years hosting
A curated cottage named for the sisters we love
My Sister's House is a tribute to Joy's sister Wendy and Eric's sister Sonya, and to every sister ours by choice. This revitalized 1949 cottage blends mid-century charm with modern comfort: a chef-ready kitchen with terracotta cabinets and a classic red stand mixer, a cozy living room with a pink velvet sofa, and two serene bedrooms each with a queen memory foam bed and Smart TV.
Step outside to the covered patio with a small gas grill, or relax in the fully fenced backyard, shaded by a giant Pin Oak and perfect for pets and kids. A dedicated workspace makes this a comfortable base for remote work as well.
What's here
Every stay is turned over with low-odor, fragrance-free cleaning products and 100% cotton linens, never synthetic air fresheners or heavily scented sprays. Here's why that matters for guests with fragrance sensitivities or migraines.

Short-term, mid-term, or traditional? Also great for corporate housing
My Sister's House works well as a short vacation stay, a home base for a UNCG or Cone Health visit, or a corporate housing solution while a relocating employee, traveling nurse, or contractor searches for something more permanent. If you're weighing a short-term rental against a mid-term or traditional lease, our breakdown of STRs, MTRs, and traditional 12-month leases lays out the differences, and this comparison of long-term vs. short-term rentals in 2026 can help you decide what fits your situation.
Rooted in the community
Joy Watson Real Estate is a family-run, local non-corporate operation. Alongside our rentals, we run Watsucker Urban Farm, where students from the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) program learn job and life skills during the school year, and a former OCS student now works with us doing maintenance and landscaping. We also lean on a trusted list of local, family-owned preferred vendors to keep every home we manage in great shape.
