My Sister's House is a tribute to Joy's sister Wendy and Eric's sister Sonya, and to every sister ours by choice. This revitalized 1949 cottage blends mid-century charm with modern comfort: a chef-ready kitchen with red and pink cabinets, a KitchenAid range, and a classic red stand mixer, a cozy living room with a pink velvet sofa and purple berry accents surrounded by eclectic art, and two serene bedrooms each with a queen memory foam bed, Smart TV, and 100% cotton sheets.
Step outside to the covered patio with a small gas grill, or let pets and kids play safely in the fully fenced backyard, shaded by a giant Pin Oak. Refresh in the spa-style bathroom with its rain-head shower and beautifully reglazed vintage tub. A dedicated workspace makes this a comfortable base for remote work and travel nurse rotations near Cone Health.

Pets
My Sister's House is a whole-home rental and welcomes up to 2 well-behaved pets per booking for one flat, non-negotiable pet fee of $25 per night (per booking, not per pet). All pets must be listed at the time of booking. The fully fenced backyard makes this one of our best homes for guests traveling with dogs.

The basement apartment
There is a small, completely separate basement apartment currently being renovated. It is locked off, not in use, and will not affect your stay. It's expected to welcome its own guests in mid-to-late 2027, and until then the whole cottage above is entirely yours.
Booking & guest profile
All bookings go through Airbnb only, with no cash or off-platform reservations. Airbnb guest profiles must include a clear photo showing the guest's face. In the event of any conflict between this page and the Airbnb listing, the Airbnb listing is the governing document.
