The Library of Ivy and Ellie is a revitalized 1949 cottage within walking distance of Downtown Greensboro and Cone Hospital. Two bedrooms, one bath with stacking washer and dryer in the hallway closet. Off-street parking in back, TV (no cable - on purpose) with internet utilities, central heat and air, tankless gas water heater, 100% cotton linens and cooking tools are all provided. This space was created as an outlet for the love I have for my two daughters Ivy and Ellie so I can share that with you.

This neighborhood is super urban and where you are staying is just a couple minutes from downtown Greensboro, Moses Cone Hospital and UNCG. Guests can access the urban trail, greenway and GTA public transit bus on Hill St. Wendover is very a very busy road so please wait until light turns red to pull out of driveway.

Getting Around

Idlewood neighborhood is located between Westerwood, Fisher Park, Latham Park and Old Irving Park and within walking distance of Downtown Greensboro and Cone Hospital. Greensboro has public transit stops within Idlewood neighborhood and surrounding areas. There is an urban trail for pedestrians and non-motorized rides.

  • "Very friendly and responsive hosts. The house was exactly as described. If you are looking for good restaurants close to the house, this location is ideal. Parking was a little challenging as we rented a truck, and if you are looking for zero-noise at night, the busy street in front doesn’t help, but that goes with the location. For 2 people is ideal. I would recommend it to friends or family."

  • "Joy provided the best of everything, from linens to brand new appliances to handmade quilts in all the rooms. She was an excellent host, even bringing us fresh eggs from her hens! The decor was tiptop, and the kitchen and bathroom have been completely renovated recently. The mattresses are new and extremely comfortable. We loved the close proximity to the downtown area. Our little dog had plenty of room. The backyard is not fenced, but we always walk with a leash. The only drawback is the busy street in front of the house. There is a lot of traffic, but we adjusted to it and did not notice it as much. If we return to the Greensboro area, we would definitely stay there again. It was a great bargain for the price."

The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with all the basic essentials I needed throughout my stay. Plus, the proximity to the hospital really cannot be beat - it took me less than 5 minutes to get to work. Since they are pet friendly, I was able to have my dog, Chloe, with me, which is a necessity for me! Joy and Eric are wonderful hosts and very kind and thoughtful people! It’s obvious that they want you to have the best stay possible. They were always easy to reach and very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would definitely stay at any of their rentals in the future!"
